Our Members Membership has tripled over the last two years to over 180 writers for 2009. We believe this is a positive sign of a growing and vibrant writers’ community on the Delmarva Peninsula and the Eastern Shore. ESWA supports all writers, writers’ organizations, and “the literary arts” across the region. Our members come from all counties in Maryland and Delaware on the Delmarva Peninsula. Some come from other areas of the Chesapeake region. The annual Membership Directory includes member contact information, writing interests, and websites. The Directory is available as a members-only benefit, for non-commercial use. Through the Directory and the popular monthly meetings, members have connected with each other to exchange useful information. Some have formed critique groups, and genre-specific writing efforts. While writing is a deeply personal endeavor, ESWA strives to give writers an informal way to share experiences with other writers and sharpen their skills. Annual membership dues are kept low to provide a genuine value to writers of all levels. If you know of others who may be interested in ESWA, invite them to a meeting or give them a membership form, which can be downloaded as a PDF document from this website. Our active members reside in these cities and towns:
