Thursdays with ESWA

We're excited to announce our August 6th session features four fantastic fiction writers reading excerpts from their latest books: Pat Valdata, Paul Briggs, Robert
Bidinotto, and Kenton Kilgore!

Please note: an email with Zoom log in information and password will be sent out to all registrants 12 hours prior to the event.  You do NOT need to download Zoom to participate.  You do however, have to register for this ESWA event in order to receive the Zoom log in information and password. 


PAT VALDATA

Pat Valdata is fiction writer and poet. Her new novel, Fall Squared, is forthcoming from Moonshine Cove Publishing in November. Her other novels are Crosswind and The Other Sister, which won a gold medal from the Arpad Academy of the Hungarian Association. Her poetry book about women aviation pioneers, Where No Man Can Touch, won the 2015 Donald Justice Poetry Prize. Her other poetry titles are Inherent Vice and Looking for Bivalve. PAUL BRIGGS

Paul Briggs learned to read and write when he was two, the same time he was learning to talk. He spent the next twenty years learning that nobody talks the same way they write, or vice versa.

He lives in Easton, Maryland, has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is the author of two middle-grade science fiction novels, Locksmith’s Closet and Locksmith’s Journeys. He is working on the concluding volume of the trilogy, Locksmith’s War. Paul has also written several short plays, two of which (The Worst Super Power Ever and The Picture of Health) have won awards. ROBERT BIDINOTTO

Robert Bidinotto is author of Hunter, a #1 Kindle Bestseller in “Mysteries & Thrillers” and a Wall Street Journal Top Ten Fiction EBook. Its sequel, Bad Deeds, was named CLFA 2014 Book of the Year. His most recent thriller is Winner Takes All. Before turning to fiction, Bidinotto received top national journalism awards as an investigative staff writer for Reader’s Digest and as editor of The New Individualist magazine. KENTON KILGORE

Kenton Kilgore is the current ESWA President. He is the author of the young adult sci-fi/fantasy novels This Wasted Land, Lost Dogs, and Dragontamer's Daughter, as well as the children's book Our Wild Place, and the non-fiction book for writers, Handselling Books: Making Money and Winning Fans.
