Embodiment: Writing Short Stories with Traci Skuce

Integrating the body into our stories brings an aliveness to our work. We're often taught to integrate sensory detail into our stories. But embodiment asks us to move deeper, down into muscle, bone, and blood. In this workshop, we meditate on the body in story, and the interstices between the inner body and the outer world.  Traci will use examples from literature to illustrate innovative ways to consider the body in story, leading participants through a series of exercises to help enrich your characters' lives and world through embodiment.

Please note: a link to access this session will be emailed to all registered 12 hours before the event begins.
