ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Wes Davis is a Delmarva based singer/songwriter, educator and media personality who grew up immersed in gospel, soul, blues, funk and rock. He has performed in venues throughout Delmarva and beyond, (including a couple of brief tours in South Asia), and he’s a strong presence in the Ocean City music scene. For years Wes has enthusiastically showcased other artists in an ongoing effort to encourage and promote original music.
Music has always been a part of Kentavius's life from my most infantile stages of existence. His mother was raised in a church where music was central to worship and his father was a DJ. Between the hymns and the vinyl, Kentavius was provided the soundtrack of his childhood. The latter part of his teenage years found him fully immersed in sonic exploration. In his senior of high school, he picked up the guitar and began singing. Using his ears as his guide, he learned how to play everything from Radiohead to Ray Charles. Dave Matthews to Marvin Gaye. The Pixies to James Brown. His first band was a rock band that he formed while attending Washington College. That’s where songwriting came into play. After many band incarnations and tons of shows, Kentavius's individual artistry took shape. His influences are broad and vast and he is a sum of those influences. His style is a combination of singer songwriter and soul with an indie sensibility. He's shared the stage with Snarky Puppy, Mint Condition and the Roots. Kentavius is currently performing from his newly released debut album, The Bohemian Beatbox. Find out more by visiting: http://www.kentavius.com
Anna Burgess was born into a world of music. Singing with her fathers Christian gospel group at a very young age, Anna then picked up the guitar and began writing her own songs at just 9. Her craft became more finely tuned performing with her father, Glenn, at retirement homes and rehabilitation facilities, bringing joy to the residents through music.
Through the years Anna has performed as half of many great duos and often harmonizes with larger bands, but you will most often find her gracing stages across the Delmarva area with just her guitar and her amazingly rich vocals.
Bryan Russo is a critically acclaimed independent singer/songwriter as well as a former 2-time Edward R. Murrow Award-Winning Journalist.
A famous actor once told him, "You might be the best songwriter I've never heard of" and he's still trying to figure out if it was a compliment about his art, or a sly dig on his PR abilities.
Whatever the answer, Russo consistently charms audiences with his unique brand of storytelling, his powerful voice, and songs that are as thought-provoking as they are catchy.
He's definitely worth seeing in person, preferably in a small club, an old theatre, or a five-star dive.
