This session dives into building a prose work scene-by-scene and using cinematic techniques to write key moments that immerse the reader in the character's point of view, tension, and setting, and stand out with lyricism and dynamism. We'll dissect a scene from my new novel, The Other Beautiful People, and discuss how "being a camera" creates a moment that can define an entire work of prose.
This session will include lecture, discussion, and generative writing exercises designed for you to write scenes that resonate. _________________
